Prayers And Aid For Ukraine
|
This is a prayer by Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson, II, Stated Clerk of the GA of the PC(USA) from a letter sent to partner churches in both Ukraine and Russia.
“In this troubling time, we pray for peace and unity between the churches of Ukraine and Russia as well as churches in broader Europe and the USA. We seek to stand together as siblings of God’s beloved community, declaring in the face of war that there is another way. Claiming our hope in the Lord our God to protect the vulnerable and watch over those fleeing violence. And we call on God to help stop this war, breaking the instruments of violence, so that there can be peace.”

Future Of The Church Grants Available!
|
It is time again to consider applying for a Future of the Church grant. Future of the Church grants are intended to help churches move into their futures. Many churches used their grants last year for technical equipment or to find ways to make their church more visible in the community or to bring in a consultant to help them with visioning and reflection. Normally the grants are not given for property improvements. Please take note that there are also Presbytery grants given by the Presbytery's Mission of the Church Committee.
Here is a link to fill out the grant online or click here to find the grant information on the Presbytery’s website (Presbytery Documents/future of the church). If you have questions, email: Carol Clark at cbclark05@aol.com or Steven Kurtz, chair of the Future of the Church Committee at stevendkurtz@gmail.com. Or call Carol Clark at 501-563-6279.

Presbyterian World Mission adopts new funding system to support mission co-workers
|
As the new year gets underway, the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA) is implementing a timely and important change to its funding system in support of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s mission co-workers in 80 countries across the globe.
Effective immediately — as a tangible way of expressing that the whole church both sends and supports all of its mission co-workers — the PMA now invites the whole church to use one fund, General Sending and Support, E132192, rather than a host of individual accounts, to demonstrate this shared commitment.
