Hurry Up and Wait - and a Giveaway

As I waited for my walking partner to appear this morning at 7 AM, I hoped the sky would brighten and the rain would hold off for an hour. Which it did. How do those weather forecasters get it right most of the time, and yet often miss the mark?

Just last weekend, my husband and I saw glimpses of spring as we wandered through the incredible cherry blossoms up at the U of W campus.  I'd waited, day after day, for a report that the blossoms had unfurled into a glorious cloud of pink.

In our mild Pacific Northwest, I'm looking forward to driving up to the  Skagit Valley  to see the  tulips bloom , although they're late this year because of cooler weather. What a glorious sight when they finally arrive.

Other occasions I'm eagerly waiting for? Easter dinner with the whole family at our house. An Easter egg hunt for our grandkids, 8 and 10 years old.

I'm also awaiting the release of my Christmas novella on September 5th. You can   pre-order  it on Amazon. I look forward to having it in hand!

Have you entered to win this gorgeous 48" Amish-made table-runner from Lancaster County, plus one of my Amish books? Either  Starting from Scratch A Letter from Lancaster County , or one of 3 books from  The Legacy of Lancaster County Trilogy  - Leaving Lancaster , its sequel,  Pennsylvania Patchwork , or  Forever Amish . My Christmas novella hasn't released yet, so it's not included. US and Canada only. Winner has 3 days to respond.
