Dear Friends and Families of Blessed Francis Seelos Academy,
Blessed Francis Seelos Academy’s mission to our community is to share the Catholic faith with those who enter our doors and to help strengthen that faith in their hearts and share it with their families. We also empower our students to have faith in what they are doing. We teach them to believe in themselves and pursue their God given talents to be all that they can be.
At the start of the school year, the staff and I prayed that God would help us throughout the year. We have been blessed many times. School parents choosing to enroll their children in our school have blessed us with the gift of partnering together and building their future. We have witnessed firsthand the generosity of our community members and their willingness to help our school because they understand the importance of continuing to provide a faith and value based education to the children.
We know that you also value Catholic education. If you attended St. Alexis or St. Alphonsus, or any Catholic school, or knew someone who did, we are challenging you to give in honor of the wonderful education that was received and the fond memories that you have of your time in Catholic school.
Our Student Council President, Alex Brown, may put have put it best when he was asked about his time in our Catholic school. Alex remarked, “I loved the school from the first day. I made friends quickly, and I liked my teachers. Over the next seven years, I’ve grown to love this school and the people in it even more. We sure have undergone some changes, big and small. Two years ago St. Alphonsus School merged with St. Alexis School and it couldn’t have been better for us, we’ve made a lot of new friends and have had the pleasure of working with new teachers. We would have never met some of these people without merging, and I’m so happy that we did. As I look back over my time here, I realize how truly blessed I am to be a part of this school and the school family. I’ve met some truly fantastic people here that I will take their friendships with me as I leave this school at the end of this school year. Overall, my experiences at this school have been nothing but fantastic, and I wouldn’t trade coming to this school for the world. I would definitely recommend Seelos Academy to anyone who is looking for a better, more challenging, and faith based school.”
