Happy Thanksgiving

Thank you to everyone who has supported McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation this year. Your generosity helps keep care local. Each year the health needs in our community grow, and your support has grown with it. Thank you for allowing us to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, provide caregiver scholarships, stock the shelves of our cancer center food pantry, and so much more. You put the giving in Thanksgiving!

If you are thankful for the care you or a loved one received at McLaren Greater Lansing, we would love to hear from you.

Giving Tuesday 2025

We hope you will consider supporting McLaren Greater Lansing on Giving Tuesday, December 2. Recently, we have seen an increase in patients requiring assistance with transportation after receiving care at the hospital. We would like to be able to provide bus passes and other transportation as needed, and we are asking for your help.

A donation of just $25 can help

with 10 rides!

Bellwether Public Relations

On Tuesday, November 25, Bellwether Public Relations brought in a gracious donation of handmade fleece blankets to McLaren Greater Lansing. The blankets will be used on inpatient floors, on our comfort carts that supply feel-good items for patients.

"Lansing is home to many Bellwether employees, families, friends and clients," said Megan Stefl, communications strategist at Bellwether Public Relations. "We have always been passionate about giving back to our community, and we really wanted to do something personal and warm to put a smile on the faces of those who find themselves at McLaren this holiday season."

Mobile Clinic & Cheers for Charity

On Monday, November 3, McLaren Greater Lansing officially brought health care "on the road" as we cut the ribbon to the new mobile health clinic!

Our mobile clinic will be removing barriers to health care by visiting local communities. This includes wellness exams, comprehensive health screenings, blood pressure checks, and more.

Thank you to our generous supporters and partners who made this Mobile Clinic possible, including Bill Carr Signs, and IBEW Local 665/NECA Lansing.

The needs for the mobile clinic are ongoing and support to keep the clinic running is very necessary. If you are interested in helping, please reach out to us.

Proceeds from this year's Cheers for Charity event will benefit The Nest and other community health initiatives. McLaren Greater Lansing provides services to The Nest through our mobile clinic program. Register today at www.mclarenloveslansing.org/cheers.

Women's Giving Circle

Our Women's Giving Circle gathered on Thursday, November 20, at Nelson Gallery to collectively decide what services their funding raised this year would support. Thanks to this group's generosity, they were able to help support Accuvein devices, Karmanos Cancer Institute, Cancer Survivor Parties, the Emergency Department Patient Clothing Fund, personal care items for the Mobile Clinic, social work student stipends and the Therapeutic Music Program at McLaren Greater Lansing.

Thank you to all of the members who support McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation.

Future DOcs Program

It was a pleasure to support the Future DOcs program again thanks to MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and the McLaren Greater Lansing Graduate Medical Education program. The Foundation supplied breakfast for the sessions, and it was a delight to hear how well received the program was again this year.

"Our residents really enjoyed participating in the experience and are excited for future opportunities to work with the students." - Samantha Roe, Academic Program Coordinator, MGL Family Medicine Residency.

Future DOcs exposes high school students interested in pursuing a career as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Physician Assistant to osteopathic manipulative medicine, CPR, first aid, anatomy, biochemistry, clinical skills and leadership.
