Impressed by their mission of being rooted in each community they serve, McLaren Greater Lansing proudly partners with Rooted Grounds Coffee Company as the coffee provider serving patients, visitors, volunteers, and employees at the hospital.

Rooted they are, 2% of all proceeds from the coffee purchased for the hospital and from sales at the coffee shop, located in the lobby of McLaren Greater Lansing hospital, go to the Foundation, directly supporting the patients and caregivers. "Through our mission at Rooted Grounds Coffee Company, we’re not just building a stronger organization, we’re investing in the heart of our local communities like McLaren Health Care, creating lasting impact where it matters most." said Kris Chari, Executive Vice President, Rooted Grounds Coffee Company.

This month we had the pleasure of receiving the 2024 funds raised and celebrated with a large check presentation in the hospital lobby. 

Construction has begun on the expansion of the Food Pantry Space. The current pantry assists patients at Karmanos Cancer Institute. Thanks to the generosity of many community members, we are able to expand to a larger space. This expansion will allow McLaren Greater Lansing to serve more patients in the hospital and our clinics.

Madison Olivia is a rising artist blending country, soul, and pop into a sound that’s heartfelt and refreshingly modern. Originally from Flint, Michigan, Madison was inspired early on by her Gran-Gran, a country musician who performed with legends like George Jones and Gene Watson.

A proud graduate of Michigan State University, Madison now travels regularly between Michigan and Nashville to write, record, and perform—building her career while staying grounded in her Midwestern upbringing. She has had the honor of opening for national acts including Julia Cole, Nelly, Parmalee, Kassi Ashton, and Dylan Scott. Most recently, Madison has announced that she will be performing at the Country Roads Festival this July.

Thanks in part to a scholarship awarded by the Foundation, Quality Improvement Specialist, Jennifer Schnepp was able to attend the International Clinical Nurse Leaders Association Conference hosted at Grand Valley State University where she was invited to present her abstract as part of her ongoing education on Direct Discharge Home from the Intensive Care Unit: A Modern Necessity? 

Through networking and collaboration, the conference brings leaders, faculty, and students together to explore current practices, research, and education to help improve patient outcomes. Participants can bring back this information to benefit their respective healthcare facilities.
