The KAA Poets featured on our Spotlight Wall are a group who meet monthly led by Portsmouth Poet Laureate Emerita Kimberly Cloutier Green...and poetry is their art!
Other artists participating in this show have expanded their talents to include a haiku, a few lyrics from a piece of music, or maybe a tiny but treasured verse from a favorite piece of literature to their art work.
If you love poetry as well as visual art, then this is the exhibit for YOU!
ARTISTS: Art Work Pick Up is Monday, May 7th, 4-6 PM

"We Live Here!"
All-Member Show
Spotlight Wall
featuring Anastasia Maertens
Exhibit Dates:
May 24 through June 17, 2018
This exhibit is sure to be an interesting display of art - perhaps a sculptured bird nest, a hand-crafted bird house, or a painting of Wallingford Square...maybe one of our artists will consider the beaches or Fort McClary as part of where they live!

Art work by Anastasia Maertens
|
This show features
Anastasia Maertens
as
Spotlight Wall Artist!
A graduate of the School of the Worcester Art Museum, Anastasia says her inspiration "transpires primarily from nature and textiles." In this series she decided to revisit her use of charcoal drawings; she chose to draw on a smaller scale to become "more
familiar with a few of the birds, insects and plants" that she has always loved.
Art Work Drop Off: Monday, May 21st, 4-6 PM
Art Work Pick Up: Monday, June 18th, 4-6 PM

Learn All About Kittery Point at the KAA!
When: June 7, 2018, at 7 PM
Where: Kittery Art Association, 8 Coleman Ave, Kittery Point, ME
Dave Kaselauskas, renowned lobsterman and Kittery historian, will give a slide presentation and talk at Kittery Art Association on Thursday, June 7th.
Dave calls this show
"Kittery Point, a Guide for People from Away," and his stories will be entertaining as well as informative.
This free event will be a perfect addition to KAA's "We Live Here!" exhibit, which will be in the Gallery on the date of this event. Hmmm. Brings to mind that old saying... something about "two birds with one stone." You know the one I'm talking about!
