Slow Running Application?


Do you have an application on your desktop running slowly and you can't figure out why?
While there can be many causes, one possibility can be the antivirus and firewall software. These applications can cause your app to run slowly. To test to see if this is the issue, completely disable both the firewall and antivirus on the desktop.
In addition, if there is a server component, disable these products on that second location as well.
You may have added a second manufacturer and not realized it during an update. Therefore, check 'programs and features' in the control panel to see what is installed on the computer.

Five Things That Drive You Craze In The Busy Season:
   
        

1. Double Entry: Entering the same information over and over again is bad enough when times are slow. When it gets busy, it's a disaster. A customer calls for service. You write down the problem and then dig around in the file cabinets to find work order and equipment history. Then you write it all over again, for the tech. The tech goes on site, and hand-writes their labor and parts used on another form. When the paperwork gets back to the office it gets entered again into QuickBooks for billing, if you can read it. Finally, all the paperwork gets filed (maybe) only to be found again for the next call.
