Dora Returns to CRUfit
This Saturday, 10/27, 7:30-9:00am
 
Dora will lead the 90 min cycling class this Saturday. If you do not know Dora, she is a top Ironman distance triathlete and an inspiration to train with. Dora always brings a big dose of energy and joy to her cycling sessions.

WEDNESDAYS: CRUfit Cardio Cycle with Mia is now a Fat-Burning/Recovery Class with Fast Freddie. Wednesdays,  10:15-11:15am  SIGN UP


THURSDAYS: Our evening CRUfit Cycle class  is now taught by  John Cheetham,  Thursdays, 6:30-7:30pm   SIGN UP


SUNDAY MORNING CHANGES - EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 4TH
 
Kid's Hip-Hop with Ruby is moving from Saturdays to Sundays, 10:45-11:30am. Several parents of young dancers have asked if we could arrange an earlier weekend start time for our Kid's Hip-Hop class. We are pleased to announce our new Sunday morning class. We invite kids from age 8 on up to come in and have some fun.

Rowing with Colin will be shifted to start 30 min later (as of Nov 4th).

Going Long / Mark Cutone's Cycling Class Plans for November & December
 
It's time for  Winter base building and there is no better place to do it than the 90 minute sessions lead by Mark Cutone. As we move into late Fall, Mark will feature endurance-based training focusing on tempo (green) and threshold (yellow) power zones.  Longer intervals, volume emphasis to create a good foundation for the 2019 cycling season.  Time to select some riding goals!

Fall Team Challenge Results & Awards 
 
With a spirited late rally, the CRUfit Team topped 10 Million meters for the second straight challenge. Our 10.2 Million Meters placed us 11th out of 567 teams worldwide. We were 3rd among health clubs which means we have come in 2nd, 3rd or 4th among health clubs over the last 9 challenges. We are also proud that we once again beat all CrossFit teams entered in The Fall Challenge. Ted Chapler led the CRUfit Team with well over 1 Million Meters rowed during the 31 day challenge period.

JOIN US when we take a few minutes to recognize team and individual accomplishments right after the early morning rowing class tomorrow (Friday, 7:20am).
MARVELOUS MAUI: Jen Takes a Little Break from the Front Desk

"I had a fantastic time in Maui, 
made possible by the generosity of the CRUfit Community.   It was six days of island adventure and exploration which included frolicking in the waves of red-, black-, and "sand-color"- sand beaches, driving the whole (!) Hana Highway, visiting the summit of sacred volcano Haleakala, snorkeling at Molokini Crater, ziplining over bamboo forests in Lahaina, enjoying the breathtaking I'ao Valley and being guided by native Hawaiian friends in an offering and prayer at the site of an ancient heiau.  I look forward to returning to Maui and actually relaxing next time!
