February 19, 2021
Dear Dorchester Parents,
I hope that you and your families are doing well. I have had some conversations with teachers and parents recently about the effectiveness of our remote schedule for those times during which we have to close our school building and move to all virtual instruction. In the event that we have to shift to all remote learning again in the future, I would like to gain a more complete understanding of how well our remote schedule is serving our students. Please take a few minutes to respond to this brief Dorchester School Closure Remote Schedule Survey by Friday, February 26.
This survey is for parents of children who normally attend in person and the survey should be completed only once per family. Families whose children are in the full-time remote classes should respond to the separate survey I sent via regular email.
The survey proposes some alternatives for the school closure remote schedule we have used so far this year, and please understand that this is to gain some insight and not necessarily an indication that these changes will definitely take place. Please note that the survey is not focused on our modified snow day schedule, but you are welcome to leave added feedback about that too. Thank you in advance, and I hope that you continue to communicate with your children’s teacher and me so that we can offer your children the best education possible. This year is unique in many ways, and we are always looking for ways to grow as a school community.
Sincerely,
Stefanie Marsich
