Our previous Facebook account has been retired at last, almost five years after the passing of Jampal Gyatso (Clark was the "owner" of the account!) We now have a new Facebook page with the same name and a connected Instagram account. Please follow this link to our new page and follow us there for updates, news, and upcoming events.

Parking

Please feel free to park in the Dorje Ling parking lot. Although there are only a few spots, everyone is welcome to park there, and we know the street parking can look rather treacherous right now, especially after a heavy rain!

Chötrul Düchen

4:00-6:30pm

(center and online)

Hosted by Tashi Choling: "CHOTRUL DUCHEN, the 'Festival of Miracles', occurs on the full moon (fifteenth day) of the first Tibetan month, called Bumgyur Dawa. The first fifteen days of the new year celebrate the fifteen days during which Buddha Shakyamuni displayed a different miracle each day in order to increase the merit and devotion of disciples. On Chötrul Düchen, it is believed that the effects of both positive and negative actions are multiplied ten million times."

Saturday, March 14th

Riwo Sang Chöd

4:00-5:30pm

Ngöndro Teachings with Matthew Small

1:00-4:00pm

Matthew Small will teach on the Dudjom Tersar Ngöndro. Matthew explains and deepens our understanding of how to do the practice, and elucidates the meaning of each part, while sharing important commentaries along the way. The classes are open to all, including those new to Buddhism, those interested in learning more, and long-time practitioners.

Friday, March 27th

Tröma Nagmo Red Feast

7:00-8:30pm

(center only)

If you are interested in exploring the Chod (cutting through) traditions of Vajrayana Buddhism, you are invited to attend. Troma Nagmo is a wrathful female manifestation of wisdom, whose practices are designed to cut through ego, attachment, and dualistic thinking.

“Time is moving quickly. Another year has passed. Do not sleep through this precious human life. Let this year be the year you stop negotiating with your confusion. Be brave enough to be honest about your mind. That bravery itself is awakening."

Marig Munsel

Dispelling the Darkness of Ignorance

Lama Bruce Newman is exploring interest in a Buddhist study program that he has been offering since 2001 with the support of Tashi Choling. The program is a three-year course of weekly study and is most likely to begin this spring. If you would like to learn more or express interest, please contact him directly.

"MARIG MUNSEL is like basic training in Buddhism, a condensed version of traditional monastic training styled for Westerners. The focus is on building, step-by-step, a strong, solid,

foundational understanding of Buddhism.

Students learn and practice meditation techniques, read and study texts, learn how to contemplate and integrate and write about what they study, join in both small and large group discussion, as well as research and share their personal areas of interest."
