Clue: On Stage

Presented by The Dorset Players

with Equinox Terrace and The Inns of Dorset

Murder, mystery, and mayhem take center stage at the Dorset Playhouse this April.

From April 10–19, The Dorset Players bring CLUE: On Stage to life—based on the classic Clue board game and the cult-favorite film.

Was it Mrs. Peacock in the study with the knife… or Colonel Mustard in the library with the wrench?

This fast-paced comedy delivers sharp performances, big laughs, and a mystery that will keep you guessing until the final moment.

Performances run two weekends, April 10–12 and 17–19, with evening shows at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 2pm. Opening night will feature a cash bar hosted by Haystack Catering. Special discounts are available for First Responders, Veterans, and groups.

Performance sponsorship is generously provided by Equinox Dental, Modern Construction, Phil’s Barber Shop & Shave Parlour, and The Wilburton.

A Clue-themed scavenger hunt is also underway in Manchester. Collect Character, Room, and Weapon cards from participating businesses through April 15 for a chance to win free tickets.

Something Rotten!

Mark your calendars for the Dorset Players’ next production—a bold, hilarious musical comedy that takes aim at the Renaissance.

From May 15–24, The Dorset Players bring Something Rotten! to the Dorset Playhouse. Created by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell, this crowd-pleasing musical was nominated for multiple Best Musical awards and hailed as “the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years.”

Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play—while competing with a certain wildly popular playwright known as “The Bard.” When a soothsayer predicts that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing, and acting all at once, they set out to create the world’s very first musical.

The result is a high-energy production packed with show-stopping numbers, over-the-top characters, and plenty of laughs.

Performances run May 15–17 and May 22–24, with evening shows at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 2pm.

Coffee with Paul (last of the season!)

Join Paul Michael Brinker on Wednesday, May 6 at 9am for coffee, homemade muffins and what's happening at the Dorset Playhouse.

Circle of Readers

The Circle of Readers will meet on Tuesday April 14 at the Dorset Playhouse at 6:30. We will be reading “Boca” by Jessica Provenz.

This is a two act comedy featuring twelve vignettes about the relationships, gossip and daily lives of affluent retirees in Florida. Set in an exclusive senior community the play explores antics of residents as they navigate romance vanity and social life. The script though lighthearted reveals the real pathos that underlies comedy. Actors play multiple roles in this play.
