Dear Dosberg Manor Residents, Family Members and Responsible Parties,
This week, residents spent time making beaded jewelry for their favorite staff members, staying fit with Sarah's virtual exercise class, and celebrating last weekend's Buffalo Bills win! Speaking of football, please feel free to drop off attire for your loved one's favorite football team so they can root for their favorites in style!

Yesterday, Dosberg Manor residents had the opportunity to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by CVS Health. We were pleased with how smooth the process went. If your loved one did not receive the first dose of the vaccine, they have a second opportunity to do so on campus - the vaccination schedule is below:
February 4 - 1st and 2nd dose opportunities
February 25 - 2nd dose opportunity
|
|
We are not aware of additional onsite vaccination dates at this time. Residents who would still like to receive their first vaccine but have not yet opted in are welcome to contact us with consent for the Feb. 4th vaccine clinic.
If you haven't already, please review the links below for additional information and to help answer any questions that you may have.

“I was excited to get my vaccine! I have done a lot of research from valid sources and medical experts regarding its effectiveness and safety, and decided it is what is best for me, my family, and the residents. I am looking forward to things going back to normal and can't wait to travel and spend time with family again! I also am looking forward to when it is safe for the residents to visit with their families!”

Ongoing Safety Precautions
The COVID-19 vaccine is a step in the right direction, but we cannot yet let our guard down. We continue to adhere to the following safety precautions to protect and care for residents and staff on campus.
-
Per Department of Health (DOH) recommendations, please do not take residents out of Dosberg Manor except for medically necessary appointments. Staying onsite is the best way to protect residents from contracting COVID-19.
- Care for residents with COVID-19 is provided within one unit to prevent the potential spread. We continue to work closely with the DOH to follow the latest recommendations and requirements.
-
To ensure safety for everyone, all staff wear personal protective equipment required by the DOH, including N95 masks, eye protection throughout all units and resident areas (face shields or goggles), gowns, and gloves. Staff training on best practices is ongoing as we strive to provide the best possible care. In addition, we continue to follow DOH guidelines to test staff for COVID-19.
-
Our facility uses a comprehensive, science-based disinfection program that includes a pulsed UV disinfection system proven to eliminate pathogens such as coronavirus from surfaces in seconds. This technology is also used in many hospitals. In addition, we continue to use our Storm 2 Pro Dual Pressure sprayer to sanitize difficult to reach areas beyond surface cleaning. Our 7-step cleaning process follows CDC infection control guidance using hospital-grade disinfectants.
