Dosberg Manor Update - November 13

Dear Dosberg Manor Residents, Family Members and Responsible Parties,

We hope this letter finds you well and in good health. We celebrated our resident veterans this week with many fun activities, including a special socially distanced lunch in the dining room for veterans, followed by a safe and socially distanced Veterans Day parade to pay tribute to our heroes on campus! Residents were presented with patriotic gifts and a special certificate of appreciation by Weinberg Campus President and CEO, Bob Mayer.

We mentioned in our last letter that we recently started virtual exercise classes in small, socially distant groups with Sarah, and they’ve been a huge success in keeping residents active!

Visitation Update

We have zero COVID-19 cases among residents and staff at Dosberg Manor.

Visits with your loved one can be scheduled by completing our online pre-appointment questionnaire. The Department of Health (DOH) requires completion of this questionnaire each time you visit. Click here for visiting hours and protocols.

Visitation Guidance

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the DOH has shared guidance discouraging residents from leaving Dosberg Manor for gatherings. This guidance aims to keep residents and staff safe and healthy while COVID cases are rising in Erie County.

If a resident must leave for a medically necessary appointment, the following safety protocols are recommended: wear a mask, use hand sanitizer, and practice social distancing.

As a reminder, any resident who leaves the facility is required by the DOH to quarantine for 10 days upon their return to Dosberg Manor. If you need to arrange for a resident to leave the facility, please contact Dana Zientara at [email protected], (716) 639-3311 ext. 2505. We take COVID-19 very seriously and appreciate your understanding.

Thanksgiving Feast for Residents

We recognize that the pandemic is especially hard during holiday times. Our dietary team has planned an extra special Thanksgiving meal for all residents to enjoy. The following items will appear on this year's menu:

Turkey Breast with Gravy

Mashed Potatoes

Stuffing

Glazed Carrots

Cranberry Sauce

Dutch Apple Pie
