Residents get creative by making hanging bats for Halloween.
What's New?
Hope everyone is having a great week! Dosberg Manor residents have spent the week doing chair exercises, creating Halloween decorations, enjoying music with Kathy Carr, practicing yoga, relaxing with coffee chats, and more! Check out our October Activities Calendar for an inside look at what our activities team has planned for our residents in the weeks ahead.

Staff Update

We are excited to announce that we have recommended a new Case Manager for hire to replace Dana Zientara. In the meantime, Cindy and Hope are checking all phone messages, emails and are attending to any resident needs. We anticipate that the new Case Manager will start the second week of November. Dana Zientara is available to us remotely during this time and will assist with training the new person.

Resident Flu Shot Reminder

A flu clinic has been set up the first week of November for residents who have Mobile Primary Care. We have been gathering consent forms for this clinic.

COVID-19 Vaccine Booster - Pfizer Vaccine Recipients

We will be offering a Pfizer booster shot for residents who are at the six-month or longer period since their second Pfizer vaccine shot and who are medically able to receive the booster shot. Hope has contacted residents and their families/representatives to get verbal consent. We will let you know when the clinic is set up.

Halloween Reminder

We will be having Halloween celebrations in case you want to send in a costume and/or decorations for your loved one as we get closer to the date.

Hairdresser Update

Our campus hairdresser recently decided to retire, so we are currently recruiting for a new beautician to operate in our salon. As soon as we find a qualified candidate, we will be sure to update you. In the interim, if your loved one needs assistance finding and utilizing a community hairdresser, he/she is welcome to call me.

Seasonal Clothing Reminder

This is a friendly reminder that you may want to take home summer clothing and bring in warmer clothing and blankets for the months ahead for your loved ones.
Information for Visitors
Visitation Reminders

  • All visitors must visit in the resident room or in the front of the building outside.
  • Please tell nursing staff if you are going outside and please return the resident to their room.
  • Visitors cannot attend activities, exercise classes, or entertainment at this time.
  • Masks must be worn as visitors walk to the resident room and leave the facility.
  • While visiting in the resident's room or outside, masks can be removed for fully vaccinated residents and visitors. Unvaccinated residents and visitors should continue to wear a mask during the visit. Please immediately put your mask back on as you leave the room or if you are speaking to any staff members or other residents.
  • Please do not stop in managers' offices unless you have an appointment. We ask that you call or email managers and they will follow up with you and set up a meeting if requested.

Staff Mask Wearing

All staff, vaccinated and unvaccinated, are working in a health care environment and must wear masks at all times. We continue to conduct a healthcare screen and temperature check at the start of each shift. We continue to strongly encourage our staff to get vaccinated and offer clinics for vaccination.

In preparation for your next visit to Weinberg Campus, please reference the following regulations from the Department of Health that we must follow together. Thank you for your help and support to keep you, your loved one, and our employees healthy.

  • Visiting hours are 9:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. every day. No appointments are necessary.
  • If your loved one is currently on a 14-day quarantine, they are not eligible for in-person visitation. However, virtual visits are still available.
  • All visitors will be screened for COVID-19. This will include a temperature check and you will be asked questions about potential exposure to the virus and recent travel. If you have signs or symptoms of COVID-19 and/or have had close contact with someone with COVID-19 infection in the prior 14 days (regardless of your vaccination status), you will not be allowed to have your in-person visit.
  • Sanitize your hands when you arrive and throughout your visit.
  • Wear a face mask covering your nose and mouth at all times.
  • Visits will take place in the resident rooms or outside the front of the campus. Visitors must escort their loved one outside and back to their room at the end of their visit.
  • You are only allowed to travel to and from your loved one's room. You are not allowed to travel anywhere else within the unit or the facility at any time. Visits will not be held in common areas such as living rooms, kitchenettes, front lobby, or lounges.
  • We ask that the resident not walk the visitors to the front reception desk after the visits.
  • We also ask that visitors not take the resident to other parts of the campus, unless special arrangements with the Case Manager have been made.
  • Visitors will not be able to attend activities with the residents or go to the dining room.
  • Individuals must maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet. We ask that visitors maintain social distance near nursing and management offices and unless it is an urgent matter, follow up with nursing or managers with a phone call or email during this time.
  • There can only be one resident in the elevator at one time.
  • For residents living in a semi-private room, visitors are not allowed to enter the living space of the roommate or the shared bathroom.
  • Up to two individuals will be permitted to visit a resident at any one time.
  • Visitors lucky enough to be under age 16 must be accompanied by someone 18 or older.

If you visit a loved one in a different facility (i.e. Forest Creek, Meadows, etc.) and then want to visit a loved one in Dosberg Manor, please go back to the reception desk to be screened and submit information about your loved one before visiting them at Dosberg. This will ensure we have all screening information for all individual visits in our records.

If you would like to bring a pet with you on your visit, the pet must be on a leash and Alyssa Fitzgerald, Activities Director, must have their shot records in advance of the visit. The pet's shot records can be emailed to afitzgerald@weinbergcampus.org.
