Help Us Grow Our Membership–and Our Impact

Impact100 DC’s momentum is building! This year, our members awarded two $100,000 grants—part of the $782,000 we’ve invested in local nonprofit organizations in the five years since our founding. With more members in 2026, we can fund more high-impact grants that expand opportunity and improve lives across the DC metro area.

The first three of our nine Fall 2025 Meet & Greets kicked off our member recruitment season with great energy, bringing together members and guests for lively conversations and new connections. A big thank you to our hosts, Ann Keary, Heller An Shapiro, Martha Coven, and Stefanie Harrington.

We’re delighted to welcome new and returning members who joined after our September Impact Makers Breakfast and October Meet & Greets—and so grateful to everyone who helped make these gatherings such a success!

Let’s build on this momentum and keep our growth going strong.

More members = bigger grants and greater impact.

Join or renew now to help grow our impact in 2026.

Help us reach new members and expand our impact! Use our Quick Guide to Member Recruitment to share who we are, what we do, and how we make an impact together.

Impact100 DC Grantee Updates

DC Greens

2024 Mission-Based Grantee DC Greens reports that Impact100 DC’s investment strengthened their role as both a neighborhood anchor and a model for community-led solutions to food insecurity. With our support, they expanded programming and deepened community engagement at The Well at Oxon Run, their one-acre farm and wellness space in Ward 8.

Impact 100 DC’s investment also made it possible for them to:

  • Host wellness workshops, distribute fresh produce, and strengthen the farm’s capacity to meet community needs. Over the course of the season, The Well—which providers nutritious produce, holistic wellness programs, and intergenerational opportunities for residents to connect with nature and one another— offered nutrition and fitness programming, cultivated culturally relevant crops, and distributed produce bags to neighbors.
  • Manage their Produce RX program that provides pre-loaded cards to purchase fresh produce.
  • Complete a 5-week farm share pilot with Whitman-Walker Health, providing fresh produce to 9 families facing barriers to healthy food in the community.
  • Collaborate with local partners such as The Green Scheme and Diaspora Honey.

Free Minds Book Club & Writing Workshop

Congratulations to 2025 Impact Grantee Free Minds Book Club & Writing Workshop, who celebrated the Joshua Samuel Memorial Peer Support Training Program graduation. After 12 weeks of hard work and skill building, 15 graduates have immersed themselves in new experiences and are ready to use their new knowledge to uplift their peers.

Impact100 DC members and friends were inspired by the Free Minds Book Club Write Night, which took place on Oct. 7 on Capitol Hill. We heard from formerly incarcerated adults about how meaningful it is to receive their poems covered with notes from community members. These notes give them hope for their future and help them stay connected to emotions they must keep hidden while incarcerated. We also discussed our favorite book club books! Click here to attend the next virtual Write Night on Nov. 19 from 7-8:30 pm.

Voices for a Second Chance (VSC)

Congratulations to 2025 mission grantee Voices for a Second Chance (VSC) who celebrated the Train Our Voices Graduation on Oct. 22, 2025. Train Our Voices (TOV) is VSC’s 33-week leadership and advocacy program that honors resilience, leadership, and second chances by equipping justice-impacted individuals with the skills to use their lived experiences to inform policy, inspire others, and lead within their communities. The graduation marks the culmination of months of learning, growth, and powerful storytelling.

Playtime Project

2024 mission grantee Playtime Project is hosting volunteer orientations Nov. 5 or 17, from 6-8 pm. Playtime volunteers bring joy to children across DC and Prince George's County, whether they are playing with them at programs, delivering program materials to program sites, or stuffing backpacks with school supplies. Virtual orientations are for anyone who wants to learn about the many ways to be a Playtime Project volunteer. Register here.
