Exciting news! SB1245 Passed

It passed! SB1245, the Arizona-grown fruit and vegetable incentive bill, appropriates funds from the Arizona State general fund to be used to uplift local Arizona farmers and our Arizona economy by providing funding for a produce incentive program for SNAP participants so they can purchase locally-grown produce items at participating farmers markets, farm stands, community supported agriculture (CSA) sites, and grocery stores.

It a win-win-win for Arizona!

Thanks to everyone for offering your support and advocacy!

We also would like to recognize the support of all of the advocates who took action and the following:

An extra special thanks to those who provided a letter of support for our next USDA FINI grant application. We're looking forward to an even better 2018.

Sierra Vista promotional video

Congratulations to the Sierra Vista Farmers Market for winning the drawing for a promotional market video!

We had a wonderful time visiting the market and talking with all of the incredible farmers, vendors and managers. The Sierra Vista Farmers Market provides a place for community gathering every week.

"This is the central point for the city and it's the prettiest part of town. It's so good for the community because it gives them a place to go network with their neighbors; not only to find fresh foods and support the local farmers," said Diane Sawyer, manager of the Sierra Vista Farmers Market.
