Feed the Muggles
Community Action Partnership of Strafford County supplies food to thousands of those in need, but during the summer months their pantry can get a bit bare. Help us stock their shelves from until Saturday, August 11 by donating a non-perishable item to the library. If you bring a non-perishable item we'll give you a FREE lightning bolt key chain (while supplies last). Harry Potter would be proud! This event is sponsored by OWLS, the library's community service group.
Register for our Talent Show taking place on Monday, August 6 at 6:30pm. If you don't want to perform, be sure to show up for the show!
Game Night returns in August on Wednesday, August 15th at 6pm. We had a good turnout in July in spite of taking the month off!

The Library's Summer Reading Programs are winding down for this year. Get your last minute reading recorded for your final chance at prizes. Thank you to all our wonderful community businesses who donated SO MANY prizes for all three programs this year! We hope you had fun and congratulations to the winners. Next year's theme is "A Universe of Stories."
The Book Repair Volunteer will assist library staff in cleaning and repairing well-loved books, using mending tape, paste, and brushes. We are looking for a "crafty" individual with good dexterity and attention to detail who could dedicate one to two hours a weekly or bi-weekly to this task. The volunteer does not need prior book repair experience, but will be trained in the specific techniques used. Those interested should contact Aimee at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (603) 516-6050.
Don't forget about the library's memory lab. Bring in cassette tapes, VHS, slides, photos or negatives to digitize and preserve for the future. See our website for more information on using the equipment.
