Family Place Library     
It's official! We are part of the national organization of Family Place Libraries! On Thursday, April 4 at 11:00 am help us celebrate as we receive our Family Place banner.
Changes to the Children's Room
The Rotary Club of Dover is generously donating funds to purchase new shelving in our picture book area. During the   installation we are asking patrons for help by checking out boxes of books until the new shelves are ready.
Poetry Contest 
Students in grades K-12 may pick up information for the 17th Annual Dover Public Library Poetry contest at the library, any school library, or at . Poems will be judged on originality, style and creativity.  Deadline for entry is April 16 th .
Peeps Show Contest   

Build a diorama using Peeps of any color or species based on a   scene from a book.   All Peeps displays may be dropped off at the library beginning Monday, April 8 through Saturday, April 20. 
 Teen Book Group!  
The next meeting of Pizza & Pages will be held on Wednesday, April 17 @ 6pm.  The group will be discussing The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan and copies of the book are currently available for borrowing at the adult circulation desk.  We encourage kids in grades 7 and up to attend.  The group will be very informal with pizza and refreshments being served.   Join us to hang out with friends and maybe meet new ones.  Hope to see you there.  Questions email or call 516-6050 and ask for Denise. 
April School Vacation Events
Interactive Finding Nemo

Join us on Monday, April 22 at 6:30 pm as we sing, shout, and snack along to the movie Finding Nemo! Each person will receive a prop bag full of surprises and instructions on how to interact with the movie as it plays. All ages welcome! Register at
Stem Event
Kids in grades K and up are invited on Tuesday, April 23 from 2:00- 3:00 pm to play with scrappy circuits. Scrappy Circuits are an innovative way to learn about electrical circuits on a budget.

On Wednesday, April 24 Studios2Go Mobile Gaming Unit will be at the library. Kids in grades K and up can sign up for the 2:00 or 3:00 pm session at
Harry Potter Trivia

How much do you know about horcruxes, hippogriffs and pensieves!  Join us on Wed., April 24th at 6:30pm for Harry Potter Trivia Night.  All ages invited.  Come as a team or come solo and be added to a team.  We will be using the KAHOOT! app so please bring a device (we will have a few devices on hand for borrowing).

Join us on April 6, 13, 20, 27 for Lego   Saturdays. Use our LEGOs to build and create. Meet new friends and share your ideas. Work on interesting challenges and have fun!

Kids of all ages are invited to make a Foam Cup Bunny anytime between April 14 - 20 and a Chomping Fish or Shark between April 22 - 27.
Paws for Reading
Murphy, a certified therapy dog, and her handler, Karen, will be in the children's room on S aturday, April 20 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Murphy is a great listener and very patient with beginning readers.
