A Message to You
Greetings from the children's librarians! In an effort to keep in touch we want to share with you our virtual and online programs and some resources that you might find helpful. Our intention is not to inundate you with more information, but to let you know we are still here working to assist you in navigating this challenging time. Librarians are answering the phones (603-516-6050) from home Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and you can email us at libraryquestions@dover.nh.gov . If you have any specific questions, comments, or requests from the children's librarians, please email p.falconer@dover.nh.gov . We hope you are all well and look forward to the day we see you again at the library.

Virtual Mother Goose on the Loose

We will be offering our popular storytime Mother Goose on the Loose with Miss Jojo on Fridays at 10:00 am via Zoom. If you would like to join in the fun, register on our website at virtual-mother-goose-on-the-loose . You will receive an email with login information approximately 30 minutes prior to the start time.

Online Storytimes

Watch all our online storytimes on the Kids' Page of our website http://www.dover.nh.gov/government/city-operations/library/kids/listen-to-a-story.html . We will be adding more content regularly, so check back often.

Virtual Creation Station

Each week, we will post a new project on the Kids' Page of our website. Here's the most recent posting: http://www.dover.nh.gov/Assets/government/city-operations/library/image/Kids/Stories/At%20Home%20Creation%20Station%20Collage.pdf When you have completed your creation, take a picture and email it to p.falconer@dover.nh.gov . Include your first name and age if you like and we will add it to our Virtual Art Gallery (coming soon!).

Museum Fun
Even though we can't visit museums for awhile, many are sharing lots of good information and activities that you can enjoy from home. Here are just a few examples:

Resources for Families

Families First, a part of Greater Seacoast Community Health, is offering several virtual parent groups and other sources of support.
Healthychildren.org from the American Academy of Pediatrics has general health and development information as well as a COVID-19 section.
Yoga with Adriene will help families destress from all the togetherness.

Keep the Kids Busy

Red Ted Art has cute and easy crafts for kids.
Frugal Fun for Boys and Girls has Cool and inexpensive things to make and do, STEM activities, math and literacy activities, and lego ideas as well.
Lego fans can join the Quarantine Survival Challenge faceBook group.
