State Chamber Update
We begin this week with the news of the final, official splitting of Dow, DuPont and Corteva. Corteva will begin trading today and signaled its independence with a “ring the bell” moment to open trading at the New York Stock Exchange this morning. Here is a video from CNBC as Jim Cramer interviews Ed Breen of DuPont and James Collins of Corteva.

Finally, as we enter the last few working weeks of the Legislative Session, we have encouraged members of the General Assembly to consider setting aside greater amounts of revenue for future use when inevitable economic slowdowns occur. We have also been clear about employer and employee concerns related to the legalization of recreational marijuana and the associated health and safety issues this presents to employers around the state. We will host our End-of-Session Legislative Brunch this week in Dover and reiterate these messages to the assembled policy leaders.
