From the Principal's Office
Dowell Families -

The next two weeks are very busy here at Dowell. Students are off from school on Monday as our teachers have a professional development day. Our popcorn fundraiser is in full swing and teachers have been sharing incentives for class competitions with the students. Next Thursday, February 23, we will hold our registration meetings for our incoming 6th graders at 6:00pm and our current 6th and 7th graders at 6:45pm. Both meetings will be in the cafeteria. If you are unable to attend, we will be posting the power point presentation on our website and the link in our newsletter next week. Our PTO will be here selling spirit wear with prices ranging from 15-30 dollars so bring your cash or checkbook if you are interested in buying some new shirts, hoodies or hats! On February 27 from 5:30-7:00pm, we will hold our Spring Open House.  We hope that you can join us for both of these great events.

Enjoy your weekend!

Taking a brisk walk for 30 minutes a day can make a big difference. Once you get going, you'll find it pays off. People who don't exercise are almost twice as likely to get heart disease as people who are active. Regular exercise can help you:
Don't forget to check in with your doctor. They will make sure you're ready for whatever activity you have in mind.
