Due to the limited competition opportunities both now and for the foreseeable future, equestrians have the rare opportunity to take advantage of the time out of the show ring and really get back to basics with their riding. Top professional and USEF "R" Rated Judge, Geoff Teall is offering an opportunity for Hunter and Jumper athletes to get his expert coaching while still social distancing through virtual training. By reviewing both their technique and their horse's performance on video, and offering a 30-minute review, Teall can help equestrians use their time wisely so they can be their best when they get back into the show ring!
Geoff Teall, head trainer and owner of Montoga, Inc; has been involved in the horse industry for
over 40 years. He has trained multiple hunter champions and reserve champions at shows such as Devon, Lake Placid, South Hampton, the Winter Equestrian Festival, Capital Challenge, Harrisburg, Washington, and the National Horse Show. He has also trained equitation champions at all major horse shows including the USEF Medal Finals, USEF Talent SearchFinals, USEF Pony Medal Finals, THIS Children's Medal Finals, Ariat Adult Medal Finals and several different ASPCA Regional Finals. He has trained several jumper riders from the start of their jumper careers to their first Grand Prix wins. Teall has also judged most major hunter shows including the Winter Equestrian Festival, Washington International Horse Show and the National Horse Show. In the equitation division he has judged several ASPCA Regional Finals, the Royal Winter Fair, WIHS Equitation Finals, the USEF Pony Medal Finals and the USEF Medal Finals. When not judging or actively training clients, Teall has authored the book "Geoff Teall on Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation" and contributes as a writer to many publications.
"I believe in the importance of maintaining a positive outlook and focusing on the future. It is always a goal and to be able to take the time to study, understand and then work at home on possible weak points with your riding and training skills", said Teall of his new service. "Sometimes we get so caught up in showing that we lose the time and opportunity to study the real art of horsemanship, I hope I can change that for people with this opportunity."
Don't hesitate to take this unique opportunity to spend more meaningful time with your horses and your riding.
