Downeast Medal Finals

June 2020
Message From The President
When we first started the Downeast Medal Finals, it was a dream to be able to host a show for Maine riders to be able to experience a medal final horse show. We did not know if it would survive, much less be able to thrive and become the largest show in the state and a medal final enjoyed by riders from throughout New England. Thanks to overwhelming support from our exhibitors, sponsors, and our incredible staff, we are in our 12th year. We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for bringing us here. This is what makes this decision so hard to make and even much harder to announce to all of you. It is with tears in my eyes and a sadness in my heart that we will be postponing DMF 2020 to September of 2021. We have looked at all possibilities and do not see a way to safely bring the show to you. We know that a lot of hope has been put into our being able to run, but we have always prided ourselves on a fun and safe experience and we don’t see a way to make that happen. We will be back in 2021: September 16-19, 2021 . We all look forward to next year when we will be able to enjoy the show that you have come to expect: a fun, educational, affordable and safe medal final. Until then, please continue to practice your skills and enjoy those horses who we are all lucky enough to be able to have in our lives.

If you and your barn decide to show, please be sure to enter the DMF qualifying classes to support the shows. DMF would not exist without these shows. Any points earned in 2020 will count for qualification for DMF 2021 .

Thanks to all of you who continue to support us, please be safe and well through this difficult time.

Thank you,

Ginger
