Message from the President

Sometimes people say things can't be done, or it's too hard, or no one will go along with you. All of these were proven wrong when the crew of the Downeast Medal Finals decided that a big change had to be made in order to keep everyone safe and to still be able to enjoy a horse show that the riders had worked all year to attend. The DMF crew and their incredibly supportive family did the impossible: they moved the show forward a day and went from three days to two.

I have so many people to thank: The DMF crew, you smiled and laughed the whole way through the shortened version of the show. Our loyal exhibitors and their families who rearranged their lives to come a day early on less than 24 hour notice. The food vendor, the shavings supplier, the trainers, all of the vendors, the camper rental agents, the hotels, the commercial shippers, the braiders, the judges, the farm sitters at home, our sponsors...no one said no we can't do this. They all said let's give it a shot.

I cannot express how full my heart is that DMF 2023 was such an amazing experience. The horse community is resilient, and I am so proud to be a part of an incredible community. Thank you all for your support and love of DMF. And please be sure to thank those horses, once again they are why we are all together!

-Ginger & the DMF family
