Welcome Spring!

The days are getting longer, the sun is getting warmer, we are almost there, almost into spring! The show season will be upon us in no time, in fact it has already begun with the SeaHorse “Fun”draiser Horse Show this past Saturday. A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this wonderful event, and a huge thank you to everyone at SeaHorse Stables for hosting this show to benefit the DMF Footing Fund. We cannot thank you enough for this incredible effort! I also wish to thank those who have already committed to donate to the Footing Fund. We are on our way to a new schooling area!

We are hard at work planning DMF 2021. New for this year is the $500 Hunter Futurity class generously sponsored by West Neck Farm. Open to horses and ponies 4-7 years of age, the first round score from their Derby will be used to pin the top 8 horses/ponies along with cash prizes. We are very excited to announce that the 2”6” Derby will now be a $2500 class! Thanks to Copious Solutions for your generous sponsorship of that class along with the McDaniel family. We also have several new scholarships this year, the Lynch Family Scholarship, the Junior Horsemanship Scholarship along with all of the others that have been so generously donated. Please be sure to read the specifications for each that can be found on the website. Also new for this year will be an early stall option for those of you who would like to ship in on Wednesday. Details will be found in the class list. And YES, we will be live-streaming the entire event, thank you to MIPR!
