Message from the President

We hope that everyone is enjoying the beginning of summer! Our schedule is full with lots of shows, special thank you to all of the hosts as DMF could not be possible without you. If you have shown in a qualifier class, be sure to keep track of and check for your points on the website (www.downeastmedalfinals.com) as they are updated as soon as results are received at DMF. If you do not see your points be sure to contact the manager of the show they are missing from, remember it is up to the show hosting the qualifying class (Not DMF) to make sure all results are turned in; regardless of whether the classes ran or not.

Some important information for DMF 2021 that everyone needs to be aware of:

We will be having early move in on Wednesday this year, the stall fee will be $235.00 for an early Wednesday arrival (between 3-6pm/arena will be closed to schooling); the fee for normal Thursday, 7:00 am or later arrival is $175.00 this year. Please notify Jess at kokofoxhorse@yahoo.com no later than noon on 9/10/2021 of your plan to move in early. You must have received written confirmation from Jess and this must be presented at check in. A friendly reminder to be sure to order shavings, hay, and stall mats early from McCarthy enterprises, so that they will be at your stalls when you arrive.

We will not be accepting any adding of classes once you are at the show. We are asking that all warm-ups and classes be filled in on your entry blanks, as well as all signatures, addresses, emails, phone numbers and both Covid releases be signed for each rider/horse pair/ trainer, owner, and parents/guardians. Scratches will be allowed up until 4:30 PM the day before you show. We highly encourage everyone to complete their entries in full (both releases also), as soon as possible. Entries received not filled in full (releases too), will be considered incomplete and not be accepted.

We will be releasing the class list on the website and via email in July, please keep checking in and we will let you know by posting on FB.

Please also note the schedule changes, Saturday AM will be a hack only, no warm up over fences for Saturday am only. Thursday, Friday, and Sunday morning warm ups will currently be run as they always have for the last few years.

We are excited to be back after two years and we look forward to seeing everyone again.
