Transportation Improvements
Planned For Downtown
The Boston Transportation Department (BTD) is hosting a public meeting to discuss a wide variety of transportation enhancements for the corridor from North Station to the Seaport. As part of the proposed project, our district's Congress Street corridor would be one of several areas to be re-imagined for transit users, cyclists, pedestrians, and vehicular traffic. With the recent growth of the Seaport area, the Congress Street corridor's status as a leading regional employment center, and the large number of amenities and attractions found between North and South stations, BTD is focusing on a stretch of Downtown roadway that is key to our economic vitality and cultural vibrancy.

Join the community meeting this Thursday, April 28th, from 4-6 pm, at 100 Federal Street. BTD staff members have much to present--and your input is desired!

This will be the first of several BTD-hosted gatherings to take place, with a follow-up virtual meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 3rd, at 6:30 pm. To keep informed, please sign-up here for project updates and future announcements.
Summertime Arts Market Returning
To Summer Street!
The Downtown Boston Arts Market is set to return for the 2022 season! The Downtown Boston BID is delighted to host the market, which features local artisans showcasing their handcrafted wares, for its 13th season in Downtown Crossing. This year's market will debut next Thursday, May 5th; it will be open Thursdays-Fridays, 11 am-5:30 pm, through Friday, October 28th.

With over twenty vendors set to participate, the 2022 edition of the Arts Market, which will set-up in its traditional location on Summer Street Plaza, will highlight a diverse array of vendors and products. As in years past, the BID will program the Arts Market area with additional activations--musical entertainment and more. Stay tuned for more details!
