Hello Newsletter Readers,

It's official...the tulips are beginning to bloom downtown! And while we are still a few weeks (or so) out from full bloom, you can begin to catch these colorful flowers in front of Avanti Boulder and the Boulder Book Store. Plus don't forget to save the date for our annual Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival, which is coming up on April 23.

This year, the conference will extend CU Boulder's focus on exploring the global climate crisis. Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival

April 23, 2023 l 1 pm - 5 pm

It’s almost here. . . The annual Tulip Fairy and Elf Festival returns April 23 from 1 to 5 pm (rain date April 30)! This beloved springtime tradition features free musical performances, including Jeff and Paige's Waking the Bear. Community organizations and businesses will offer free, fun and interactive activities for children along the Pearl Street Mall. Kids can play an instrument with the Boulder Symphony and Music Academy, try their hand at foam sword dueling with Renaissance Adventures and so much more.

Plus don’t miss the short walking parades and photo ops with the Tulip Fairy Queen herself! The parades will start near the front of the performance stage at 1:45, 2:45 and 3:45 pm! Come celebrate the 15,000+ colorful tulips that decorate the world renowned Pearl Street Mall!

The Story of the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse: 25 Years of Global Friendship

Now - June 18, 2023

Join the Museum of Boulder and The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse in celebrating the 25th anniversary of this gorgeous community treasure. This exhibit follows the evolution of the teahouse, which is the only authentic Persian tea house in North America. Items on exhibit include pieces from its earliest days to objects seen by patrons enjoying delicious food and distinctive teas.

The Teahouse will also celebrate its 25th anniversary on Saturday and Sunday, May 20 - 21 with a weekend full of celebrations. Enjoy a four-course Tajik Dinner (Saturday), Tajik themed Afternoon Tea Service (reservations required), a marketplace that showcases Tajik and Tea Related items, Tea Tastings and Workshops and an Art Exhibit of original paintings by Tajik artist Farrukh Negmatzade.

Boulder Arts Week

Now - April 15, 2023

Don't miss out on the final few days of Boulder Arts Week! Now through April 15, enjoy engaging programming and unforgettable experiences throughout downtown. Support Boulder High School student artwork at Ozo Coffee (East Pearl) with "SEEN" Art Gallery and Performances, listen to live music on April 13 at R Gallery & Wine Bar and enjoy a concert with Damien Jurado at eTown Hall on April 14.

While downtown for Boulder Arts Week, admire the 42 student-produced banners that adorn the Pearl Street Mall. This year's banner artists created their work to answer these thematic questions: What do you do in your life to lift your spirits? To keep you connected and happy? What brings you joy? The banners will be on display through mid-April 2023.
