Hello Newsletter Readers,

What is your happy place? Is it a local brew after a day outside with friends? Backbending on a yoga mat? Sipping a cappuccino by a burbling creek? Wherever your happy place is, it's ours, too. Because you can find it here, in downtown Boulder.

We asked some of our downtown friends what their happy place is...from coffee houses to the Boulder Creek and everything in between, our community finds joy all throughout the downtown district. Read about where your neighbors frequent to get their daily dose of happiness!

Bands on the Bricks

Boulder's premier outdoor summer concert series is back! Enjoy FREE concerts on the Pearl Street Mall every Wednesday evening from June 15 - August 3. Sip on an Avery Brewing Co beverage in the Beer Garden, mingle with friends and family and enjoy live local music.

The band lineup for 2022 was just released - check out who is playing! From Hazel Miller & The Collective to The Long Run (Colorado's Tribute to the Eagles), music lovers will be met with rock and reggae and everything in between.

Boulder Creek Festival

May 28 - 30, 2022

The City of Boulder and Team Player Productions (TPP) have announced Boulder Creek Festival is returning to downtown Boulder over Memorial Day weekend. For the first time, the weekend will kick off with a free show at the Glen Huntington Bandshell on Friday night, May 27, followed by three days of music from 30+ artists, Creekside Beer Fest, Makers Market filled with dozens of artisans, family-friendly activities like obstacle course and trampolines and more to celebrate the Boulder community.

The Creekside Beer Festival is one of the best ways to kickoff the summer. Enjoy beer tastings from top breweries around the country while listening to music by the Boulder Creek. Get your ticket here!

The BOLDERBoulder 10K returns this Memorial Day! Honored by Runner's World Magazine as "America's All-Time Best 10K," the race travels through Boulder’s neighborhoods, downtown and then finishes at the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field.

Join the 50,000 participants or 100,000 spectators to partake in the spectacle. Enjoy endless entertainment, marvel at skydivers and enjoy food / drinks. Head down to the SportsEXPO on May 28 & 29 where vendors will be set up along the Pearl Street Mall!

BCH Movement Challenge

May 15 - June 13, 2022

Downtown Boulder is partnering with Boulder Community Health (BCH) for their first-ever Movement Challenge. We are challenging you to move every day from May 15 - June 13! There is an opportunity to win amazing prizes each day - including a grand prize of a $500 Downtown Boulder Gift Card!

There are two ways to get involved:

Totally online! At the end of each day, go online to enter how you moved. It could be gardening, walking your dog, biking or any movement that is meaningful to you! Feel free to include the amount of time moved if you want, but there is no requirement.
Grab a scorecard for yourself, your team or your entire organization! You can get a scorecard to help log each day of your movement at the Visitor Information Center.

Downtown Mural Tour

Boulder is full of hidden treasures. Whether you are a local who grew up in the area or a visitor passing through, we promise there are unique spaces and places you have yet to discover!

This walking tour takes participants all over the downtown district in search of street art and murals, from the East End to the West End. The interactive Google Map includes three different walking tours for you to follow at your convenience, or be creative and forge your own path. Wherever you go, beauty is sure to be waiting!
