Anticipated Closures
As we await word from the County, you can stay updated on our region's ICU capacity here: https://covid19.ca.gov/. If intensive care unit (ICU) capacity drops below 15%, a Regional Stay at Home order will go into effect.

Business operations that will be CLOSED for at least 3 weeks under a Stay at Home order include: outdoor dining, hair salons & barbershops, personal care services, movie theatres, wineries, bars, breweries, family entertainment centers, and cardrooms.

Business operations that will be allowed to stay OPEN with modifications and 100% masking include: retail at 20% capacity, restaurants for take-out/delivery only, childcare/schools, and critical infrastructure.
Outdoor Expansion Areas Extended Until October of 2021
The City of Santa Cruz has extended our Outdoor Expansion Program through October 1, 2021 to accommodate outdoor dining within social distancing and health and safety guidelines. Do you want to see any changes to how our downtown sidewalks and street spaces are currently being used? If so, be sure to take the Downtown Outdoor Use Survey or email us your input to share with the City.

Dec 18 - 25 is Parking for HOPE week. For eight days, parking meter collections downtown are donated to HOPE Services, whose crews have helped keep our downtown streets clean for over 20 years.

Until the end of the year, you can get a Santa hat at the Info Kiosk on Pacific Ave. & Soquel and benefit Downtown Streets Team for only $15!

When you see someone cleaning up, doing maintenance or helping out around downtown, please take a moment to stop and thank them. Despite furloughs and budget cuts, these hardworking individuals downtown remain motivated by hearing from business owners and community members downtown how much their work matters to us.
