Downtown Syracuse Business and Property Owners,
We’re pleased to share two announcements from the City of Syracuse:
New COVID-19 Emergency Relief Program – Grants and Loans
The Syracuse Industrial Development Agency (SIDA) is now accepting applications from small businesses and not-for-profit corporations in the City of Syracuse for loan and grant assistance to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new funding consists of both grant and loan opportunities:
Grants of between $500 and $10,000
can be used to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) or to acquire and install fixtures to help prevent the spread of the virus; and
loans of between $3,000 and $25,000
can be used for any purpose related to responding to the pandemic.
Eligible businesses must be located and conduct business in the City of Syracuse, have no more than 50 employees, and have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 disaster emergency declared by New York State. Applications for a portion of the $175,000 total funding are due on Friday, August 14. SIDA expects to make decisions on loan and grant awards during the week of August 24.
