CanExport SME's Program
Eligible small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can get up to $50,000 to cover 50% of the costs of exporting products or services to countries where they have little or no sales. CanExport funding can help your company expand beyond Canada, unlocking global markets and opportunities to grow your business worldwide.

Strengthening the Canadian Supply Chain Program
Protein Industries Canada has announced a new program to help Canadian companies remain competitive in the wake of ongoing uncertainty around trade with the US. The program will reimburse up to 75% of eligible costs to a maximum project cost of $200,000.
To be eligible, projects must include at least one of the following:
· Reformulating products with domestically produced ingredients
· Scale-up and commercialization work to increase the supply of domestically produced food products to Canadian consumers
· Scale-up and commercialization of domestically produced ingredients to Canadian manufacturers
The program will help plant-based ingredient manufacturers and food processors to reformulate using Canadian inputs for the Canadian market.

Enhance Your Recruitment and Retention Strategies With the Labour Force Management Strategies Initiative
The Labour Force Management Strategies Initiative helps primary producers and processors in Ontario's agri-food sector tackle local labour challenges. With up to $4 million in funding available, the initiative supports innovative strategies for attracting, recruiting and retaining workers in the agri-food sector. Approved projects can receive up to 50% of eligible costs covered, with a maximum of $40,000 for individual businesses and $100,000 for industry collaborations.
Application Deadline: September 2, 2025 or when available funding is fully committed — whichever comes first.

The Summer Company program helps enterprising students between the ages of 15 and 29 start and run their own summer business. The Halton Region Small Business Centre coordinates the program locally, and delivers it with the support of experienced business advisors from the community.
