Team Delaney Fundraiser Opportunities

"And though she be but Little, she is FIERCE!"

On September 10th, 2013 Delaney Newton was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Just two days later on September 12th she endured a 12 hour brain surgery by a team of 12 doctors and nurses at Oakland's Kaiser Hospital. The doctors were able to remove the entire tumor mass in the lower back part of her brain. The subsequent pathology report revealed that tumor is indeed cancerous. She started 1 of several rounds of chemotherapy October 1st that is expected to last at least 1 year.

Being the close community that we are, several of our Downtown businesses and locals have put together fundraising opportunities to help the Newton family in this difficult time. Please see the following flyers for details if you would like to get involved.

Swirl will be donating 10% of sales this evening to help Janice and Merlin as they help their little girl fight cancer.Tap 25 will also be open and donating $.25 for every pint sold this evening! Chef Serena's mom has a small jewelry business and will have a table set up inside Swirl - 25% of her sales that evening will be donated to Team Delaney! It's one of those hostess type deals and she is designating Janice Newton as the hostess, so Janice will get some nice jewelry just for fun! Stephanie and Augusta will be donating their tips for the night. There will also be live music compliments of Meredith McHenry starting 7:30 to enjoy.
