Jamaica Avenue Art Walk

August 8 - 17, 2025

Presented by NYC IT Girl Collective, this free self-guided art walk will be taking place across Jamaica Avenue, from 146th Street to 171st, at participating small businesses. Over 30 New York artists will showcase a vibrant mix of styles and creative media. Plus, enjoy community resources like back-to-school giveaways and art workshops all week long.

King Manor's newest exhibition Jamaica | Jamaica explores the history of Jamaican immigration to New York City and the lasting impact of Jamaican culture on the local community. 



The event will be held in the South Lawn in front the museum and will feature:

• DJ Killa Boo
• A chance to see the new Exhibition Jamaica | Jamaica
• Live musical performances
• Authentic Caribbean cuisine from local food vendors
• Guest speakers
• Caribbean marketplace

JFK T6 Queens in Flight Local Art Program

Submissions due August 29th

The Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL), on behalf of JFK Millennium Partners (JMP), invites local Queens-based artists to submit proposals for the Queens in Flight Local Art Program at JFK Terminal 6 who meet one of the following criteria:

         a. Queens residents for at least twelve months, or; 

         b. Artists who make art at the time of their submission out of a Queens-based studio or location, or;

         c. Artists who can demonstrate a strong personal or professional relationship to the borough. 

This program will showcase the cultural and artistic diversity of Queens through contemporary art installed in high-traffic areas of this new and expanded airport terminal.
