Downtown Poulsbo Parking Enforcement Begins November 1
Improving Access, Supporting Businesses, and Ensuring Fair Use of Shared Parking
Downtown Poulsbo has grown into a vibrant regional destination for dining, shopping, and waterfront activities. With this growth, more employees and residents have been using customer spaces for long-term parking—making it harder for visitors to find a spot.
To promote fair use of shared parking and support local businesses, the City of Poulsbo will begin enforcing timed parking downtown starting Saturday, November 1, 2025.
The City has contracted with LAZ Parking to manage the new system, which is designed to:
- Improve access to downtown businesses
- Encourage parking turnover for visitors
- Support the vitality of Poulsbo’s historic district
Key Dates
- November 1–14: Warning period (no fines issued)
- November 15: Full enforcement begins
- Hours: Seven days a week, during posted time limits

For Downtown Employees and Businesses
A new Downtown Employee Parking Program provides flexible permit options for downtown workers and business owners, ensuring convenient employee parking while keeping customer stalls open. Details and permit information are available on the City’s downtown employee parking webpage.
“By enforcing time limits and creating designated employee parking areas, we are ensuring that downtown visitors can more easily find parking and enjoy everything Poulsbo has to offer. For the first time in the city’s history, we are also providing dedicated and flexible parking options specifically for downtown employees—recognizing their vital role in supporting our businesses while keeping customer spaces available.” — Mayor Becky Erickson
