Rivers Casino to Hold Job Opportunity Fair
and Vendor Forum

The Vendor Forum will be held Friday, July 17. Local businesses will be able to learn more about working with Rivers Casino and in the gaming industry. There will be a session at 8am and a second session aimed specifically at minority- and women-owned business enterprises at 3pm.

The Job Opportunity Fair will allow attendees to explore future careers in the gaming hospitality field. The Job Opportunity Fair will be conducted in rolling sessions on Saturday, July 18, beginning at 8am, 10am, noon and 2pm. The goal of the event is to provide information about positions and qualifications, and to connect attendees with education and training pathways that will better prepare them for a career at Rivers Casino. GE Theatre - Part of the FREE Animation Fest 2015 Toy Story begins in a young boy's bedroom, where the toys come to life when people aren't around. The boy, whose name is Andy, has a favorite toy, a beat-up old cowboy doll named Woody. Woody maintains law and order in Andy's room. He is looked up to and respected by all the other toys, until Andy's eighth birthday when a new toy, Buzz Lightyear, turns Woody's world upside-down.

Hometown Heroes Banners Walking Tour

Take a stroll around beautiful Downtown Schenectady this summer and view 43  Hometown Heroes banners along State Street and around City Hall. The banners honor Schenectady military men and women from the Civil War through today.

Pick up a copy of the Hometown Heroes banner map and bios of many of the program's honorees at the DSIC office, 143 State Street, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. You may also view and download docs online.
