  • Join the DSIC under the stars in front of City Hall every Wednesday in August for Downtown Schenectady Starlight Cinema!
  • Sit on the steps of City Hall or bring your own chairs and blankets to enjoy a concert and movie for FREE! The event kicks off each week at 6 p.m. with live music; movies begin at dusk (around 8:15-8:30 p.m.).
  • Come hungry and purchase dinner from the Mike's Hot Dogs food truck, or order takeout from one of our Downtown Schenectady restaurants and bring it with you to enjoy during the event.
  • Come down early to shop and support our local businesses, and stock up on your favorite movie snacks from Bittersweet Candy.

Starting July 23, Mopco will reopen its doors to a limited capacity audience. The Mop & Bucket Company will be back home on North Jay St. in Schenectady, creating an evening of scene, game, story and song inspired by your suggestions. Shows may include some audience volunteer participation, but never any audience humiliation!

CDTA announces their first fully electric scooters will be available to rent later this month! Scooters will be located at designated SCOOT racks in Schenectady and other Capital Region cities.

Scooters will be available every day from 6 a.m. - 11 p.m. and can be accessed using the SCOOT mobile app.
