You won't want to miss all the fun as Schenectady County celebrates the Games of Summer and welcomes Yankee great and Grammy Award nominee Bernie Williams and His All Star Band.

This year's celebration will feature live musical performances, games, great food, and a huge baseball diamond right in the middle of the action. The ever popular sand sculpture will again be created right before your eyes beginning at 10am. And what's a summer celebration without a food eating contest? Villa Italia will be sponsoring the "Schenectady County Celebrity" Cannoli Eating Contest on the GE Main Stage at 8:00pm, hosted by Armen and Levack from ESPN Radio 104.5FM. Take a stroll around beautiful Downtown Schenectady this summer and view 43  Hometown Heroes banners along State Street and around City Hall. The banners honor Schenectady military men and women from the Civil War through today.

Pick up a copy of the Hometown Heroes banner map and bios of many of the program's honorees at the DSIC office, 143 State Street, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. You may also view and download docs online.
