The Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation (DSIC) and City of Schenectady are partnering for a second year to present the 2016 Hometown Heroes Banner Program. This program proudly recognizes active duty and veteran servicepersons from the City.

Sponsor a Banner:  Banners may be sponsored by individuals, businesses, or organizations.   Banners will once again be displayed on street lamps along State Street and around City Hall in Downtown Schenectady from mid-May until mid-November. Escape winter's chill and discover hundreds of brilliantly colored native butterflies at miSci's indoor butterfly house, flying about (and possibly landing on you!) as miSci 
re-creates their habitat - the edge of an open field with flowers and trees. Be sure to stop at the chrysalis chamber to see the butterflies as they emerge.
