The Penny Pub, located across the street from the Marriotts in Armory Square, has re-opened after a three-month renovation. Patrons will notice newly treated floors, new paint and more televisions. The bar will cater to a casual crowd where folks can come to watch a game, or have a drink and chat. In addition to traditional cocktails and beer, patrons can expect more whiskey options and craft cocktails on the menu. The bar opens every day at 4:00 pm.

DiningWeeksDowntown Dining Weeks Dates Announced 
February 18 - March 4 
 
Next month we set the table for the 15th annual serving of Downtown Dining Weeks, presented by Visions Federal Credit Union! The most anticipated event of the winter, Downtown Dining Weeks kicks off on Monday, February 18. Keeping with tradition, dozens of downtown restaurants will serve three courses (or more!) at a special Dining Weeks price point. Building off a new addition introduced last year, restaurants will also serve three courses for lunch at special pricing. Next month, we'll start to post the Dining Week menus to our website, so stay tuned!

BizEventz is currently seeking nominations for the 2019 Nonprofit Awards. Nomination categories include: Board Development, Board Leadership, Career Achievement, Collaboration Award, Corporate Community Support, Executive of the Year, Impact Award, Outstanding Fundraising Event, Young Professionals Advisory Board and Young Professional Leader.

Five new bilingual exhibits! 
 
The Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) has added five new interactive energy exhibits! The entire collection is bilingual, displaying exhibit titles and hands-on instructions in both English and Spanish. 

The new exhibits include:
Store Energy for Future Use:
Learn about generating and storing energy.
Design a Wind Turbine:
Learn how wind turbines convert the wind's kinetic  energy into electricity. Guests can make turbine shapes of their own to see which designs work  best. 
Bike Generator:
Use a seated bicycle to produce electricity and power a fan, light bulb and hand saw!
Traffic Airtable:
Experiment with object motion on a reduced friction table and explore how barriers impact  motion. 
Centripetal Acceleration:
Learn how objects of different mass and shape behave when placed on a rotating circular table. 

Don't forget! Dinomania is on display through January 21, so make sure to check out the life-like dinosaurs before the exhibit goes extinct!
