Tomorrow (February 7) is National Wear Red Day to support the fight against cardiovascular disease in women. Get involved and raise awareness by dressing down or wearing red on this special day. Participants are encouraged to donate $5 or more to the American Heart Association (contact your  Wear Red Day Coordinator here). As a thank you, each participant will receive a Go Red for Women iconic red dress pin.

A sparkling adaptation of Voltaire's satirical novella, Candide melds European operetta, musicals, Latin American dance rhythms and everything in between to its own eclectic style. Young Candide's tutor believes everything happens for the best. Through war, plague, earthquake, shipwreck and the Spanish Inquisition, Candide tries to hold onto this optimism. Will be become disillusioned or will he find the best of all possible worlds. 

Before the performance, starting at 11:00 am, enjoy an unforgettable brunch with the show's artistic director, stage director, Vice President of the board, and Chairman of the board. The 16 th annual serving of Downtown Dining Weeks is less than two weeks away! The once-a-year promotion, featuring three-course lunch offerings for $10 or less and three-course dinner offerings for $30 or less, returns Monday, February 17 and continues through Sunday, March 1 . We're partnering with Visions Federal Credit Union to present the two-week long tradition.
 
Right now, 46 restaurants in the city center are putting the finishing touches on their menus. A handful of menus are up on our website right now. As we receive menus, we'll continue to post them there. Click here to see a list of participating restaurants.

Three Lives to open at 316 S. Clinton Street 
 
Three Lives, a new bar, restaurant and arcade, promises food, games and drinks when it opens at 316 South Clinton Street ( map) this April. In terms of gaming options, visitors can expect a variety ranging from e-sports including Halo and League of Legends, to Xbox and Playstation, plus retro arcade favorites. The bar will serve craft beer and craft cocktails. Food - including sliders, a signature 'smashburger', and hot dogs - will be available to order through self-serve kiosks, and will be delivered to your table. 

The name, "Three Lives," was inspired by a classic gaming reference, in which gamers could start with three lives.

Eight food entrepreneurs to open stalls this November
 
After two rounds of recruitment, training and public auditions for the past year, Salt City Market has announced the eight food entrepreneurs selected to open food stalls at Salt City Market

Once open, visitors to the food hall will find an assortment of culinary delights, including American soul, Asian bakery, sweets and savory pies, and cuisines from Jamaica, Burma, Vietnam, Thailand and the southern United States. 

In the coming months, Salt City Market will work with its vendors to create business plans, brands and ideas around food and design.
