The ninth annual presentation of Syracuse Style, Downtown's only outdoor fashion show, is a spectacle! Co-produced by the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc. and Syracuse Fashion Week, the runway fashion show is free to attend, and offers exciting opportunities to see the unique, one-of-a-kind retail fashion and accessories that have put Downtown on the map as a fashion destination.
Syracuse Style is Downtown's premier fashion event and the social event of the season. Grab a drink or something to eat while enjoying a fashionable night. For even more exclusive access, consider purchasing a VIP Ticket (only a select number are available) for $40. This grants you access to front-row seating along the runway, and special access to a pre-show party at Empire Brewing Company. Otherwise, any available seats along the runway - and standing room positions - will be available on a first come, first-serve basis.
Keeping with Syracuse Style tradition, all proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of Central New York.
*In the event of rain, the fashion show will be rescheduled for the same time and location during the following week, Thursday, September 19 at 7:30 pm.

Metered Parking Increases in Syracuse
$2 per hour to park at meters in Downtown Syracuse
Earlier this week, new parking meter rates took effect throughout the City of Syracuse, including meters in Downtown Syracuse.
The cost to park at metered spaces is now $.05 per minute, $.10 for three minutes, $.25 for seven minutes, $1.00 for 30 minutes and $2 per hour. The parking fee increase was approved by Syracuse Common Council as part of the 2020 fiscal year city budget, and will ultimately save neighbors from other initially proposed increases.
The Downtown Committee of Syracuse regularly updates a parking brochure, providing a list of all available lots and garages.

It's part of the Light It Blue Campaign, led by the Prostate Cancer Foundation, with the purpose to raise awareness and support research efforts to eventually, find a cure. Keep the spirit of Employee Appreciation Week going by making corporate choices to benefit employees. The Metro Fitness CorpFit program kicks off at the beginning of Employee Appreciation Week (September 16), and there's still time to register your team! The seven-week program provides weekly training with a personal trainer, full access to Metro Fitness and the opportunity to compete against other companies in a corporate skills challenge.
If you don't have a company to enroll, you can still participate individually! There are a few CorpFit teams that need a few more participants. Contact Metro Fitness at 315-426-8917 to create or join a team.
