Given the impact of, and challenges caused by, the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re creating a series of events to discuss what our communities need to move forward in these unprecedented times.

Our first webinar on September 16th will feature Kennedy Smith, one of the nation’s foremost experts on commercial district revitalization and business development from the Institute for Local Self-Reliance, who will discuss specific strategies for guiding CT’s Main Streets to the next phase of recovery.

Join us in celebrating our Associate Director, Kimberley Parsons-Whitaker, for 20 years of dedicated service to CT’s downtowns and Main Streets. Kim joined CMSC on September 5, 2000, shortly after the organization became an independent non-profit. Over the years, Kim has worked closely with CMSC’s member communities and has been an invaluable member of CMSC’s small staff. Rockville Downtown Association Appoints New Co-Chairs
CMSC member Rockville Downtown Association recently announced that Jennifer Holt and Rene Lambert are serving as co-chairs for the 2020-21 operational year. Holt is a realtor with RE/MAX Destination near Lafayette Square in Vernon and Lambert is the executive director of Opportunity Works, one of the largest private employers in downtown Rockville. Drew Crandall, RDA President since 2016, stepped down in July to focus his volunteer time on ministry work.
