Tell CT Senators to Support Main Street
Main Street America is advocating for CMSC and Main Street programs across the country by calling for an additional $2B in funding for the Economic Develop-ment Administration in the next COVID relief package, with a $100M competitive grant program to sustain and expand the essential work of Main Street leaders in every corner of the country. But we need your help! With discussion in the Senate to create the next COVID relief package underway, we urge you to use this form to send a message to CT’s Senators and ask for their support for Main Street.
CMSC Corporate Investor Windsor Federal Savings Expands Its
Community Reach to South Windsor
CMSC Corporate Investor Windsor Federal Savings is seeking local approval to build a new location near Buckland Hills mall in South Windsor. With the expansion, the bank hopes to capitalize on the declining number of community banks in the Greater Hartford area. The nearly 2,700 square-foot branch will take the place of a loan office Windsor Federal opened in South Windsor last year, its first-ever physical presence in the town.

Windsor Federal prides itself on being a small community bank that provides financial products and services to meet the needs of community members and local businesses, while delivering exceptional customer service. Windsor Federal is a Corporate Investor in CMSC because they believe vibrant main street centers that feature modern housing and transportation options as well as local, unique businesses are crucial to building strong communities where members can flourish.
CMSC Member Highlight: Meriden Launches New “Discover Meriden” Website
Meriden has launched a new community-based website that will serve as an interactive hub where the public can easily submit events and contribute to the site’s content while also discovering other events. Visitors to DiscoverMeriden.com can also find local businesses and community organizations via an interactive map.

"The site showcases the city's many assets and central location while instilling pride in Meriden,” said Lisa Biesak, Downtown Fellow with CT Main Street Center and the Making Meriden Business Center.

DiscoverMeriden.com is powered by Connecticut-based CivicLift, and will be a key resource for businesses and people looking for a one-stop shop to learn about Meriden’s businesses and culture.
Sponsorship is key to CMSC's ability to provide services to our members, and education & technical assistance to CT's downtowns. We proudly thank our many generous sponsors below.
