On Sunday, June 9, the 16th Annual Ryan’s Ride will be held in downtown Burlingame. The
ride course will be closed to car traffic
and parking from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In the interest of safety,
illegally parked cars will be towed. Please park all vehicles outside the event area and bike ride course the night before. Course marshals are available during the event in case of emergency.

Request for Proposals for the State Lands Property at 410 Airport Boulevard in Burlingame
The California State Lands Commission has released its Request for Project Proposals for the use of 9.4 acres of vacant, State-owned waterfront property consisting of 1,000 feet of shoreline on the San Francisco Bay at 410 Airport Boulevard.
Please note that the Commission may modify, clarify, and/or change the Request for Project Proposals via one or more written addenda. As such, interested parties should register as an interested party by filling out and returning the Interested Party Registration form available on the web page listed above and checking the Commission’s web page frequently for updates.

Say "no" to printed receipts
When you're out shopping, choose to receive an electronic receipt whenever possible. Receipts, like the ones shown here, are
not recyclable. Most receipts are made of thermal paper and should be disposed in the garbage. In addition, these receipts contain bisphenol A (BPA), which is an endocrine disruptor, so it is recommended that you discard old receipts rather than hold on to them.⠀

SMC Parks Dog Management Pilot Program
Beginning June 15, 2019, the San Mateo County Parks Department will begin piloting on-leash dog access at Junipero Serra Park and the Coyote Point Recreation Area for six months. More information is available at
www.smcoparks.org.
A meet-and-greet event will be held at Junipero Serra Park on Friday, June 14, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to encourage area residents and all park users to meet rangers, learn about the rules, and help park users feel welcome to visit the parks with their dogs. Central County Firefighter's Annual Pancake Breakfast

Join the Central County Fire Department's firefighters for their annual pancake breakfast to benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to burn prevention and survivor assistance. Tickets are $5 per person. There will also be a silent auction and raffle. Come enjoy live music by the Green Room Music Spring Concert. This is a fun day for the whole family!

Burlingame Parks and Recreation’s “Burlingame Sings…Folk Songs” invites you to an old-fashioned hootenanny! Sing along to the 1960’s folk songs of Peter, Paul and Mary, The Kingston Trio, The Mamas and the Papas, and John Denver. Burlingame’s "Glee" will be opening the show with two songs. In addition, a very talented performer will sing Japanese folk songs.

CALL Primrose Fundraising Brunch

Burlingame-based non-profit CALL Primrose will host its "Brunch in the Garden"
fundraising event for the second year in a row. Proceeds from the brunch will benefit
CALL Primrose’s efforts to compassionately address the issues of hunger and food
insecurity within our community by providing free, healthy groceries to those in need.
Only 220 tickets are available at $125 each, and can be purchased online at
sold at the event. This event is open to the entire community, and volunteers are also
needed.
