Dear friends,
During the months of August and September we often find ourselves in a time of "in-between". We desire to hold on to the more relaxed feelings of summer for as long as possible, while also being pulled towards the possibility for new beginnings as we head into fall. If we can let ourselves fully experience this dynamic tension, by letting go of expectations & goals AND feeling the pull of energy to start creating dreams for the next year, we might be encouraged and hopefully inspired toward self-reflection and, with a bit of luck, growth!
While NESH is currently growing to create ONLINE learning experiences for all levels, we are also excited to celebrate our NESH Alumni returning to Amherst this fall IN-PERSON for a Clinical Class weekend for the first time since 2019!
We look forward to learning together soon, and hope that our offerings help you to be the very best you can be, so you can make and take time for re-inventing aspects of your lives you want to change while being loving and gentle to yourself along the way.
With love and optimism,
Amy & Paul

For those with young children, here are a couple of "Back-to-School" articles:
Some remedy types do better with transitions than others. There are ways of knowing if your child might have a difficult time and ways to minimize the stress.
See also my article below about treating teenagers with homeopathy, which can be particularly helpful as they transition into adulthood.

Nurturing our young people for

(Our kids Jonah, Misha, and Sophia - circa 2008)
by Amy Rothenberg ND, DHANP
One day when my children were 4, 5, and 7, they dashed off in three different directions just as I was trying to round them up to leave the playground. A woman watching us called out to me: “Oh honey, you think you have your hands full now, just wait ten years!”
Ten years? I seldom had the leisure time to think that far ahead. With three children close in age, it was hard enough just getting dinner on the table!
As it turned out, I was blessed with kids who evolved into energetic, engaged, and thoughtful teens. Yes, my hands were full, as the woman had predicted, but in a good way.

THOUGHTS from current student Nancy Mattesen DMV:
I took the ONLINE course 2 years after completing my first NESH course in person, mainly because I thought it would be a good review. It turns out it was that and so much more - more repertory material, more in-depth information on previous topics, more practical advice, more challenges, more encouragement. I had many epiphanies while taking this course. I have greater insight and more clarity about what homeopathy is, how to study it, and how to practice it. In short, I have more confidence in my capacity to be an effective homeopath from taking this course.
