ESF will host Rethinking Resource Use: Regional Perspectives Conference with Northeast Recycling Council and the Center for Sustainable Materials Management at ESF.

Join the Desi Club for their annual Diwali Celebration! Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights and symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. They will have live performances, food, music, and games. This celebration is open to all ESF/SU students, faculty, and staff, so bring your friends.

Workshop on Supporting Indigenous Students

To complement this summer's workshop, this session is designed to help educators, advisors, faculty, and staff support Indigenous students, specifically regarding how to avoid and respond to micro-aggressions, build allyship, and create brave spaces.

Students: Inclusive Journalism Fellowship Open

The Daily Orange is accepting applications for its yearly Inclusive Journalism Fellowship. The fellowship aims to address historical underrepresentation of people of color in the newsroom and in coverage. Applications close on Nov. 8.


The fellowship will award four student journalists of color at SU and ESF $2,000 each to craft a body of work over the course of a year that they otherwise would not have been able to create without financial support.


Interested students must complete the online application.

Feedback: SUNY Climate & Sustainability Action Plan

SUNY’s draft Climate and Sustainability Action Plan is online and available for feedback. The plan is intended to provide a comprehensive response to the climate crisis from the SUNY system across education, research, facilities, and operations. The feedback form is live until the end of November 2024, and all are encouraged to share their reflections. There are two sections - general comments and specifics. Answer any questions you have time for; even just one response is helpful.

ESF’s Timbersports team is getting ready for their annual fall meet.
