17 Rooms acts as an ‘audit’ of campus to identify areas where SDG awareness and implementation can be improved, both academically and operationally. It also aims to convene the widest variety of campus stakeholders possible, analyze the state of campus, build a sense of community and common purpose, and use information from the event to inform and improve ESF’s soon-to-be-developed Sustainability Action Plan.

The 17 SDGs have been strategically grouped into four focus areas, to facilitate greater discussion and action:

  • Community & Wellness
  • Economics
  • Environment
  • Equity
