ON THE ROAD AGAIN....
After touring with the Lee Singers for seventeen years, I thought my traveling days were over. However, this week has been filled with long days on the road. Can't you hear the musician in the background singing..."on the road again"?
This past week we were invited to attend the South Georgia Camp Meeting hosted by Bishop Gary and Lori Lewis. Lori is a member of the SMCH Board of Directors. During the night service, we were privileged to hear our former chair of the Board of Directors, Bishop Kip Box. He did a tremendous job! The next morning, my wife, Tammie, did a SMCH presentation at the Women's Ministries banquet, while I did the same presentation at the men's Bible study. We were so blessed to be in the state that sponsors cottage #7 (South Georgia Plantation) at The Home.
Once we left Tifton, Georgia, we traveled on to Flowood, Mississippi to be with Bishop Chris and Teri Moody. Teri is also on our SMCH Board of Directors. Tammie was asked to not only share about SMCH but she spoke for the Women's Ministries service on Friday morning. What a blessing she was, as she proclaimed a message based on the book of Esther, For Such a Time as This.
After being asked to do our SMCH presentation at the Friday night service, we will head to two churches to preach this coming Sunday morning and evening.
We ask everyone to pray for us as we preach at the Faith Family Church in Pearl, MS where the Senior Pastor is Nathan Headrick. In the evening service, we will speak at Pastor James McElroy's church in Granada, MS.
Believe with us for a powerful move of the spirit of the Lord!

SMCH HOSTS GOD'S PIT CREW
Building a Gatlinburg Home Destroyed by Fire
June 1, 2017, God's Pit Crew from Danville, Virginia began to arrive on the campus of Smoky Mountain Children's Home. Under the direction of their director, Randy Johnson, God's Pit Crew is building a home for one of the Gatlinburg families who lost everything in the November fires. There are approximately 50 volunteer crew members here on the campus from different states and regions to help with this worthy project.
Our executive director, Dr. Walt Mauldin, Team Lead Jay Fischesser and his team (Rachel Rathe, Jessi Groce, Audrey Hollingsworth, Jeremy Bean), and Cottage 6 residents and house parents, Brandon and Tosha Bohanan, have been able to participate this week in the building project. Smoky Mountain Children's Home feels very honored to play a part in giving back to our community "Smokies Strong" project! #smokiesstrong
