The Board of Trustees of the National Dental Association announced on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at its fall meeting that NDA Past President Dr. Nathan Fletcher will serve as Interim Executive Director effective immediately.

 

 

The Board of Trustees wishes to acknowledge their deep appreciation and respect for the 24 years of dedicated service and leadership provided by former Executive Director Robert S. Johns.

 

Dr. Nathan Fletcher served as the 84th President of the National Dental Association in 2008. He has been the NDA Vice President and Vice Speaker of the House of Delegates. He has affiliated with the Maryland Dental Society, a component of the NDA, serving as President and Delegate in the House of Delegates for the NDA. He is the owner of Fletcher & Fletcher Family Dentistry in Baltimore, Maryland.Dr. Fletcher graduated Cum Laude from Morgan State University with a B.S. in chemistry (1980), and received his D.D.S. from Howard University College of Dentistry (1987).

 

Dr. Fletcher expresses his gratitude to the Board of Trustees for the confidence demonstrated by their decision. He hopes to move the NDA in a positive direction during this transition.
